The Govee Temperature Humidity Monitor is a device that costs about the same ($10 US/unit) as most humidity/temp monitors but is smart enabled for logging trends and uploading them to your phone.
These are useful for both flower/veg rooms and for the drying/curing of cannabis flowers.
The user interface is pretty straightforward after installing the app.
I find that the most useful display is either the daily or the weekly view. Hourly is a bit too granular to be useful for much.
COMPATIBLITY:
The “Govee Home” app works with both android and IOS devices. I did find it annoying that the app has ads, but they are only banner ads and aren’t exceptionally intrusive. I guess that is how they keep the price of the unit so low. The app did not require any unnecessary permissions to operate.
PROS:
Overall I am very happy with how this has unit has been working in both my flower tent and veg tent. The temperature and humidity readings are accurate across the board, when compared with my vivosun monitors used as a control. Bluetooth connection is automatic and there is no need to “pair” the monitor with your phone (huge plus)!
CONS:
My only complaint about the Govee Temperature Humidity Monitor is that the device is bluetooth enabled and not wifi. This means you need to be in proximity of the device to download the logged data. I was hoping to set this up to send me alerts if the temperature or humidity ranges go outside of pre set parameters but this is not possible. Hopefully future versions are wifi enabled to allow for remote monitoring.
SUMMARY:
For the price I would certainly buy this again. Especially useful for putting inside of the DIY Auto Cure bucket for monitoring trends without needing to open the bucket and impact the curing time. I would recommend buying two of these. One for your flower room, and another for the drying room.
